My name is Marcia Griffiths, I have developed a healthy eating educational play toy. The product has been developed over the past three years.
The first year I was on my own developing an idea and then I decided that I needed more professional help. After going to business link I was directed to the University of East London where I worked with Adrian.

Adrian first began to advise me on my business plan from the early stages of my first draft. He has helped develop my knowledge of what type of plan I would need in order to secure finance, and what format to use. He advised me on the advantage of using business plans for specific purposes. I have been able to develop my knowledge and skills. I have found the advice priceless as it has helped me secure a cash award for my project with the University of East London, to help me develop my product.

This has only encouraged me to move forward and I am now pleased to say I have recently secured the first 50% of my production money and I am close to finalising the next 50% this week. Since meeting Adrian at the University of East London in the knowledge dock as the business advisor, he has helped me in a number of areas. The benefits of his advice have been very beneficial to both my company and me.

This development is due to the confidence I have gained in getting to know my business in more detail whilst working on my business plan. It has also given me more skills as a business person.

When first meeting Adrian I was in the early stages of developing my product. I have received good advice about how to organise my time, develop my product, manage my company and I am now at the stage of going to market. To sum it up I have become more assertive in business, and I thank my advisor for the encouragement I have had. Adrian has been patient with me and I am sure it has been difficult at times.
